From Tribalism to Nationalism: The Anthropological Turn in Laos - A Tribute to Grant Evans

This was one of the last books published on Laos by NIAS Press before its operations closed down in 2023.  Even more meaningful was that it was published in honour of Grant Evans, an Australian scholar of Lao studies who passed away in 2014.

I love these journal type publications that cover a variety of topics on Laos from different writers and researchers.  I've included the full table of contents below for those who might be interested in what the book covers.  As always the articles are insightful and detailed.

Highly recommended reading for those interested in Lao culture and history.
