Want a bit of spice?
All types of chili powders in varying grades of coarseness and spiciness can be found in the food markets of Laos. The process of this is made often first by drying, roasting or frying the chilis before they're ground up.
I once witness this process and felt I had just been pepper sprayed as the immediate area had a complete waft of chilis in the air. My eyes, nose and nasal passages couldn't handle it. Sure enough I couldn't remain for more than a few minutes. However, I could see a young girl working on the chilis without appearing to be affected at all. Amazing!
