- What do Laotian women wear on a day-to-day basis?

Laotian women, both young and old, generally wear pha seen in their regular everday activities. With this pha seen there are different types. They range from regular/everyday wear to more formal ones. What determines what is worn is the type of fabric and price of the seen. Fabrics like cotton tend to be the cheaper ones but it is also these ones that are worn day-to-day. The ones made of silk and other more expensive threads are worn only on special occassions. Also certain seen if worn too much get into bad shape and the threads come out randomly. These are the ones that are not designed for everyday wear.

You can try applying through online or better yet apply in person when you are in Laos since many individuals and places still do not have or use the internet as often as the rest of us do.

One suggestion I've heard is to become a volunteer. Usually after then, the organization you were working for will be more likely to hire you on to paid staff.

If you're an expat looking to work in Laos you're company should be able to help you out with a type of extended (work) visa.

Even if you do find work in Laos the pay may not be as much as other more developed Asian countries. But if this is no concern to you and rather you're interested in being in the country, learning about the culture/language, etc. then definitely working in Laos will be extra fun for you.
