LCW was officially
launched in the summer of 1998. One of the many goals of LCW is
to help promote awareness about Lao People, Cultures and Issues. Through our website we wish to be
the conduit of information for our visitors by supplying inquiring
minds with comprehensive Lao language references and other cultural
information, insightful advice column, special articles and much
much more. Moreover, we want to show and teach you things
about Lao stuff that you cannot find anywhere else on the net.
For the Lao New Year 2547
(2004), the Creator and Lead Producer of Laoconnection.com, participated
in an intimate interview. The interview transripts were showcased in our
Special Feature for that New Year. In it he speaks candidly about
the creation and origins of the website, the ups and downs and reflects
on how far the website has come and how much it has grown, among
other things. Look for it again, when we post it on special occassions.
OUR VISION
Our web team is small
but we have been able to make huge strides for LCW and our visitors.
To this end, we have worked towards being the premier interactive
and informative Laotian-related site on the web. The continued
vision of the Creator and Webmaster of LCW has also pushed LCW into
the new millenium. A vision of contributing to the web, representing
Lao people on and off the internet, promoting and preserving Lao
culture and language, and encouraging others to create Lao websites,
products and services.
We have a great deal
in mind for the future so be sure to keep visiting!
It has always been an
important issue for us to maintain open and trustful ties with our
visitors. We encourage a bi-partisan, non-political website
where all are encouraged to participate by sending in comments,

WHO RUNS THE SHOW HERE?
Laoconnection.com is
with a provider whose server happens to change from time to time. More importantly, contributors
to LCW are located all over the world from Asia to North America.
And the creator and lead producer is in Canada. However the LCW Team encompasses primarily a small group of individuals. Others
are also encouraged to contribute and be a part of LCW whenever
they feel ready.
